Finalist: Just For Laughs Eat My Shorts

We are so honored to announce that “Coleslaw” was selected as a finalist in the Just For Laughs Eat My Shorts 2022, the festival’s staple short film competition.

The world's largest and most prestigious comedy event, Just For Laughs is held annually in Montreal. This year marks the festival’s 40th anniversary.

JFL receives submissions from filmmakers around the world, and  “Coleslaw” was one of only 14 films selected as finalists and one of only 5 finalists from the U.S. Many great filmmakers have screened short films in Eat My Shorts over the last two decades including Jason Reitman (3 times), Trey Parker & Matt Stone, and Bill Lawrence.

“Coleslaw” was directed by Nice Egg co-founder Paris Brown, written by our frequent collaborator, the hilarious Todd Anderton, produced by Heather McKinney, and stars Anderton, comedic actress extraordinaire Emily Gee, and the incomparable Christie Wallace of Sinisterhood.

The film will have its Canadian premiere at the JFL screening in Montreal in the final week of July. We are so proud of the efforts of the team!

Just For Laughs' annual short film competition, Eat My Shorts, is back! The funniest shorts this year include bizarre food attachments, crime and sci-fi comedies, living through Covid times, unique relationships and everything in between! The top comedic short films from around the world will be screened at the 2022 edition of the Just For Laughs festival, and the winners will be selected at the end of the screening for the top three prizes.
