Keeks Wins Silver Remi Award at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival
Dallas, Texas — April 2026 — Nice Egg Entertainment is proud to announce that its short film Keeks has won a Silver Remi Award at the 59th annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, following its world premiere screening on April 26, 2026, at Cinemark Memorial City in Houston, Texas.
WorldFest-Houston is the oldest independent film festival in the world and one of the most prestigious platforms for emerging filmmakers. Past honorees include Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Ang Lee, the Coen Brothers, Ridley Scott, Oliver Stone, and David Lynch, among hundreds of others.
Keeks tells the story of a neurodivergent brother and his straight-laced sister as they grapple with their father's dying wishes in their own unique ways. The film was written by Todd Anderton, directed by Nice Egg co-founder Paris Brown, and produced by co-founder Heather McKinney. The cast is led by Dallas-based comedian Andrew Plock, alongside a talented ensemble of DFW-area actors.
